Introduction

Focus: This dissertation will explore how contemporary artificial intelligence technologies are being used for the composing, arranging, and production of music, and what that means for creativity and ownership.

9. Live Music Experiences and Cultural Identity

Focus: This study will examine the role of live performance in the construction of community identity, cultural memory, and collective experience, with concrete example within music festival/concert formats

10. Global music business economics: Opportunities and challenges for independent music makers

Focus: This research will investigate independent musicians problematising the global music economy today and how they engage with and address the diversity of issues surrounding digital marketing, self-publishing and alternative sources of income.
