Introduction

Teaching is a critical part of cultivating the minds to educate the future generation. The education system continues to evolve to cater to diverse learners, while at the same time, the role teachers have and practices they engage in is evolving as well. Throughout this dissertation, the many aspects of teaching, including pedagogy, student engagement, curriculum development, and new and emerging technologies, will be considered.

Teaching Dissertation Titles

1. The Role of Technology on Student Engagement in K-12 Education

Focus: This dissertation will investigate the ways in which technology, apps, and digital online platforms are reshaping how students engage in K-12 education.

2. Designing Curriculum for Uniqueness: Issues Regarding Inclusive Practice

Focus: This dissertation will explore many of the issues pertaining to developing curriculum for the diversity that exists between learners, whether it be through impairment or simply inequality of opportunity.

3. Project-Based Learning and its Impact on Critical Thinking

Focus: The focus of this research study is to investigate the impact a project-based learning has on critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

4. The Relationship of Teacher/Student Interaction on Student's Academic Achievement

Focus: The focus of this study is to investigate the relationship between teacher-student relationships and student academic success with emphasis’s being on emotional support and motivation.

5. The Virtual Classroom: Future of the Learning Environment

Focus: This dissertation will examine online learning environments and assess how they are perceived as being credible when compared to the conventional learning environment.

6. Inclusive Education: Teaching Approaches for Students with Additional Support Needs

Focus: A study of teaching approaches that meet the learning needs of children identified as having disabilities while also making sure they receive quality teaching practice.

7. Peer Learning: An Investigation of Peer Learning and its Impact on Academic Achievement

Focus: Research on the influence of peer learning and cooperative learning and group work on student academic achievement and social well-being.

8. Pre-service teacher education programs: Are teacher educators prepared for teaching in Multi-Context (Multi-Modal) classrooms?

Focus: This dissertation is investigating if teacher education programs work and how well-prepared teacher educators are when working in different and multicultural contexts.

9. The Effect of Assessment and Feedback on Student Learning

Focus: This project will focus on the number of student learning assessments, and the types of assessment and feedback and their effect in student learning, motivation and academic growth.

10. Gamification in Schools: Effects of Gamification on Student Learning Outcomes and Motivations

Focus: This dissertation looks at how gamification influences student motivations and learning outcomes in education contexts to date.
